Education

A major goal of the RESC is to provide contemporary study and continuing education programmes at different levels (BSc, MSc, PhD, CAS, DAS, MAS, etc.), spanning the multiple research fields that contribute to a holistic rehabilitation approach.

Therefore, we identified the most relevant skills needed to enable a new generation of professionals and decision makers to contribute towards the establishment of a continuum-of-care and a more inclusive society. Topics of high importance were identified and selectively listed hereinafter:

  • biomedical / rehabilitation / tissue engineering
  • assistive and wearable technologies
  • robotics & human robot interaction
  • machine learning & artificial intelligence
  • digital health
  • tele-rehabilitation
  • understanding of clinical processes & rehabilitation specialisation
  • clinical quality management
  • interprofessional collaboration
  • personalised rehabilitation
  • multimorbidity & healthy ageing
  • theories of inclusion & disability
  • enabling environment
  • health literacy
  • disability studies & disability ethics
  • data ethics
  • health economics & health policy

Based on this solid framework of relevant topics, different study and continuing education programmes are being evaluated (e.g. market analysis, target setting) and conceptualised, and will be consecutively implemented after approval.
