Biomedical and Mobile Health Technology

Prof. Dr. Carlo Menon has held an ETH professorship in Biomedical and Mobile Health Technology ath the Department of Health Sciences and Technology (D-HEST) as part of the ETH Rehab Initative since February 2021 and is head of the Biomedical and Mobile Health Technology Lab.

The Biomedical and Mobile Health Technology Lab focuses primarily on wearable technology. This includes novel materials and sensors for electronic textiles (e-textiles) or other wearables, as well as innovative computational methods for processing bio-signals and monitoring biomarkers detected by their sensing technology. The research group aims to assist individuals to live healthier lives or to recover from neuromuscular/neurological conditions and is designing the next generation of wearables for sports and personalized medicine.
