Welcome Desiree Beck
ETH Zurich’s Competence Centre for Rehabilitation Engineering and Science (RESC) welcomes Desiree Beck to the team. Desiree joins us on 3 January 2022 in the role of Education Manager.

Desiree Beck obtained a MSc in Health Sciences and Technology, majoring in Neuroscience, at ETH Zurich, followed by a Teaching Certificate in Health Sciences and Technology, also at ETH Zurich. She has vast expertise in clinical research, clinical trial management, spinal cord injury, rehabilitation, teaching and education, and curriculum development. In her role as Education Manager at RESC, she will support the management in developing and sustainably implementing contemporary education programmes at Bachelor, Master and Doctorate level as well as in further education.
“I am looking forward to this exciting new opportunity and to meet and work with people from different backgrounds who enthusiastically pursue a common goal together. I will be working closely with colleagues at ETH Zurich and partners in the RESC network” says Desiree. The RESC Executive Office welcomes Desiree Beck aboard and looks forward to working with her towards achieving our mission.
The ETH Competence Centre RESC is a nexus of expertise from academia, hospitals, industry, government, healthcare, disability organisations, and other NPOs. Its mission is to improve the quality of life and participation of people with physical disabilities; thus, contributing towards a more inclusive society. RESC promotes exchange, interdisciplinary research projects, innovative education programmes, and knowledge transfer.
