EnableMe builds on the success of the MyHandicap Foundation, which operates information portals in Switzerland and Germany. EnableMe was established in 2020 as part of a comprehensive relaunch and network of partners that share the mission of providing information and self-help communities globally. The goal of EnableMe and its partners is to build the world’s largest online information platform and self-help community by and for people with disabilities and chronic conditions.

CEO Michael Lorz on the company's vision and his motivation to work with RESC: «In the medical technology industry, a large network and interaction with various stakeholders is extremely important. Our cooperation with RESC will benefit people with disabilities by providing relevant information and community to empower informed decision making. Here we can benefit from RESC's experience and contacts. In addition, we both strive to involve everyone, so our visions fit together perfectly.»

“EnableMe runs a powerful platform that connects people with disabilities around the world. Their approach fills an important gap on the path to an inclusive society by building, supporting and informing the community and providing projects and services.” says Oliver Stoller, Executive Director of RESC. He adds: “We share a common vision and look forward to working together to connect our networks and promote an inclusive society.”

The ETH Competence Centre RESC is a nexus of expertise from academia, hospitals, industry, government, healthcare, disability organisations, and other NPOs. Its mission is to improve the quality of life and participation of people with physical disabilities; thus, contributing towards a more inclusive society. RESC promotes exchange, interdisciplinary research projects, innovative education programmes, and knowledge transfer.
